Chirakodinja Kinavukal (English: Broken dreams) is an upcoming 2015 Malayalam spoof film. The film is based on the story of same name from the 1996 Malayalam film Azhakiya Ravanan. Directed by debuntant Santhosh Viswanath,the film has been produced by Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames. The film will have Sreenivasan, Kunchacko Boban and Rima Kallingal as the lead characters along with Murali Gopy, Joy Mathew and Srinda Ashab.A tailor falls in love with the girl next door, Sumathi. But her father, a log breaker, decides to marry her off to an NRI. Since it is inevitable to stop the marriage, the tailor decides to write a novel. Fortunately, he receives the State Award for the Best Novel. With the prize money, the tailor builds a huge Mansion. Accidentally the date of Sumathi's wedding coincides with the housewarming ceremony of the tailor's Mansion. Furthermore, the tailor commits suicide and and gets hospitalized. Surprisingly, the marriage comes to a halt. Therefore, in the end, Sumathi and the Tailor reunite. The above stated story is a part of the Movie Azhakiya Ravanan, wherein the supporting role, Ambujakshan, a writer, pens the story. Ambujakshan is one of the famous portrayals by the Veteran Actor and Screenwriter, Sreenivasan.
In contrast, the new version is a mix of slapstick comedy and entertainment. The director has used the above story line to create an awareness about how movies were actually made for its repetitive, dramatic scenes and cliche dialogues.
